_builder_version=&#8221;4.11.3&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3><strong>PROJECT-BASED LEARNING<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><span>One of the great innovations of Mater Salvatoris School\u2019s academic project is the introduction of a new methodology that complements traditional classes. <\/span><strong>It is called Project-Based Learning (PBL),<\/strong><span> an education strategy that has been highly effective all over the world in terms of ensuring students obtain meaningful learning.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span>The key to the success of PBL is that, on the one hand, it involves students in authentic activities with real-life situations and, on the other hand, it builds knowledge and broadens learning through teamwork.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The students who work through PBL learn to appreciate differences by listening and working together, as well as to employ different strategies to solve problems using critical thinking. Through their research to answer a key question, students develop the so-called<strong>\u00a0\u201c21<sup>st<\/sup> Century Skills\u201d:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Self-management and autonomy.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Teamwork.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Communication.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Creativity.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Critical thought.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Technology.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Multicultural understanding.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In short, the students broaden their own knowledge through their work and research, with careful guidance from a teacher.<\/p>\n<p><strong>USE OF NEW TECHNOLOGIES IN LEARNING<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our students are <strong>\u201cdigital natives\u201d,<\/strong> having been born into a society in which technology represents a crucial part of their lives. For this reason, it must be present in the academic domain, just as it is in the rest of their daily lives.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>The presence of new technologies in the School\u2019s educational project<\/strong> makes the teaching and learning process more attractive and personal for students, who are the true protagonists in this method.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_tab][et_pb_tab title=&#8221;21st Century Skills&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.11.3&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p><span>We are well aware of the changes that have occurred in society in recent times. This transformation has been the result of technological advances. We find ourselves in a world where we can speak to somebody who is thousands of miles away without moving an inch. It is no longer necessary to memorize the enormous amount of information we have stored on computers, hard drives or, even better, clouds; with one click we can obtain the information we want anywhere in the world or without leaving our house or office. The real skill will be in how we use this information. That is to say, <\/span><strong>we need to develop other skills.<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span>Today we work in teams, quickly studying and analysing information and situations in order to arrive at conclusions together.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Mater Salvatoris School wants to prepare students for the society in which they live. It wants them to acquire the traits and characteristics of 21<sup>st<\/sup> Century students. It wants them to be thoughtful and critical, to broaden their own knowledge, to learn to work in a team and to be decisive. In short, it wants them to be able to deal with any situation they face.<\/p>\n<p>In order to achieve these aims, the School has made a commitment to technology. It is not only about possessing multiple media, but rather about knowing how to use all the possible tools, individually or as a group, to address different situations and learn by building one\u2019s own knowledge.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This is why Mater Salvatoris has transformed\u00a0a school classroom into the 21<sup>st<\/sup> Century Skills centre, in addition, has converted one of the computer rooms into another 21<sup>st<\/sup> Century Skills centre.<\/strong> It boasts equipment that will facilitate this learning process, including state of the art computers and laptops, which can be taken away to any part of the School, as well as tablets and digital whiteboards.<\/p>\n<p><span>The School is convinced that this is the right path to take in terms of learning about and understanding this changing world, without forgetting that some things are sacrosanct. tradicionals. <strong>\u00c9s l\u2019Aprenentatge Basat en Projectes o Project-Based Learning (PBL)<\/strong>, una estrat\u00e8gia educativa que ha estat molt efectiva en tot el m\u00f3n a l\u2019hora d\u2019aconseguir que els estudiants adquireixin un aprenentatge significatiu.\n<blockquote>La clau per a l\u2019\u00e8xit d\u2019una educaci\u00f3 amb PBL \u00e9s, d\u2019una banda, possibilitar que els alumnes s\u2019involucrin en activitats aut\u00e8ntiques amb situacions de la vida real i, per una altra, construir el seu coneixement i aprofundir en l\u2019aprenentatge mitjan\u00e7ant el treball en equip.<\/blockquote>\nEls alumnes que treballen mitjan\u00e7ant PBL aprenen a valorar les difer\u00e8ncies al treballar conjuntament, aix\u00ed com tamb\u00e9 a emprar diferents La nostra habilitat consistir\u00e0 en saber manegar aquesta informaci\u00f3. <strong>Hem de desenvolupar altres destreses.<\/strong>\n<blockquote>Avui dia es treballa en equip, s\u2019estudien i analitzen r\u00e0pidament dades i situacions per arribar a unes conclusions conjuntes.<\/blockquote>\nEl col\u00b7legi Mater Salvatoris vol preparar els seus alumnes per enfrontar-se a la societat que els toca viure. Es procura que adquireixin els trets i caracter\u00edstiques propis dels estudiants del segle XXI, que siguin reflexius, cr\u00edtics, que construeixin el seu propi coneixement i que aprenguin a treballar en equip i siguin resolutius. En definitiva, que siguin capa\u00e7os de resoldre les situacions que es trobin.\n\nPer aconseguir aquests objectius el Col\u00b7legi es recolza en la tecnologia.
